How we handle your personal data under the GDPR.

Draft. This text is a working draft and must be reviewed by a lawyer, together with the controller details below, before the site goes live.

Controller

Stellar Digital S.L., company number B93774057, Avda. Juan Gómez Juanito 16, 29640 Fuengirola (Málaga). Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Name, email and phone number that you provide in our contact form or by email.
  • What you are looking for: property type, area, approximate budget and timeline.
  • The content of our correspondence with you.
  • When you send a form: your IP address, the time, and the consent wording you accepted. We keep these so we can show that consent was given, and to stop abuse of the form.
  • If you choose to watch a search: your email address and the search criteria, which we store so that we can email you new matching properties.
  • If you arrived via an advert: the advert's click id and campaign, which travel with the form. They tell us which advert produced the contact, nothing about you.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • To answer your enquiry — your consent, and thereafter our legitimate interest in providing you with relevant service.
  • To put you in touch with the partner estate agency — your consent, given when you send the form and withdrawable at any time.
  • To carry out an engagement — performance of a contract with you.
  • To meet legal obligations — including accounting and anti-money-laundering rules.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are deleted within twelve months. Data linked to a completed engagement is kept for as long as the law requires. A watched search is kept until you cancel it: write to us and we will remove it and confirm.

Who sees it

The partner estate agency. Our job is to put you in touch with the agency that has the right property, and to do that we have to pass on your name, contact details and what you are looking for or want to sell. That is a disclosure to a third party, and you consent to it when you send the form. If you would rather we passed nothing on, say so in your message and we will not. We will still answer your questions, but we cannot then show you the properties the agency holds. From that point the agency is itself the controller of what it does with your data and has its own privacy policy. If you want to know which agency before we pass anything on, ask us and we will tell you.

Otherwise: only those in our business who need it, plus the providers we use for email and web hosting. In a purchase, data may need to be shared with a lawyer, gestoría, notary and bank — always after we have told you.

Your rights

You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, object to the processing and withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected]. You may also complain to the supervisory authority — in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics here, no Facebook pixel and no third-party script that follows you elsewhere. Which is why there is no cookie banner to click away either.

Two things are nonetheless stored in your own browser, by us, purely so the site does what you asked it to. Neither leaves your computer until you send a form yourself:

  • stellar:sparade (localStorage) — the reference numbers of the properties you tap the heart on, so that your Saved properties list is still there when you come back. We never see it.
  • se_klick (sessionStorage) — if you arrived via an advert, its click id is stored and travels with any form you then send, so we know which advert produced the contact. It disappears when you close the tab, and it cannot be tied to you before you enter your own details.

You can clear both by deleting site data for stellarestates.se in your browser, or by browsing in private mode. The site works without them — you simply lose your saved list.

Two things load from other companies, and only once you click. The map on a property page is fetched from OpenStreetMap when you open the map tab, and a viewing video from YouTube's cookie-free domain youtube-nocookie.com when you press play. Each of those companies then sees your IP address. If you do not open them, nothing happens. The fonts sit on our own server — nothing is fetched from Google Fonts.

If we ever do need cookies, we will update this page and ask you first.
